Ida B. Wells Sculpture Now On Display On Chicago's South Side

A beautiful monument honoring Civil Rights Icon Ida B. Wells has been unveiled on the city's south side. The sculpture is called "Light of Truth" and is located in the Bronzeville neighborhood where the former Ida B. Wells housing project was once located.

Those homes, located near 35th and King Drive no longer exist, but the new sculpture will be a constant reminder of the woman who led the antilynching crusade in the United States in the late 19th century.
