You would think expressway shootings are unthinkable. But unfortunately they are a problem and a very real problem on roadways in Chicago.
According to Illinois State Police in 2020 there were 128 expressway shootings, keep in mind we were deep into a pandemic with most people staying at home. As of yesterday there were 133 expressway shootings so far this year, more than the entire previous year. That is crazy!
It's bad enough we have to constantly watch over our backs for random gunshots possibly being fired in any given situation these days, but to be driving on an expressway and get caught in gun crossfire or possibly hit? It's insane and it should NEVER happen. The violence has to end now for the sake of our families.
