The life of the legendary Aretha Franklin hits the big screen today with the new movie 'Respect,' starring Chicago's homegirl Jennifer Hudson. I saw the advance screening of the movie earlier this week and to say she did an excellent job in her role is an understatement. Jennifer was exceptional and the movie is one of the best autobiographical films I have seen.
I'm cheering Jennifer on to receive an Oscar this year as best actress because she really deserves it. Check the video to get a sample of her singing some of Queen Aretha's hits. Then go ahead and check the movie, I'm sure you will enjoy it too.
