Looks like R&B 'it girl" H.E.R. is going to put a pause on her music and pick up a script. According to The Hollywood Reporter she will make her acting debut in a remake of 'The Color Purple.'
H.E.R. has been cast to play the role of a waitress who wants to be a singer. Hopefully the remake will be updated to modern times so that generations of all ages can enjoy it. Can't wait to see what the vibe will be, but I am pretty sure H.E.R. will bring it.
