It hurts my soul to know that more than 250 children have been victims of gunfire in Chicago, and there have been tens of deaths of people 18 years and under this year alone.
Why would a person shoot or even think about harming a child? It just really makes no sense at all. And to blatantly kill a child as revenge or because you're just that mad or you just really have no regard for life is inhumane.
Something needs to be done right now about the loss of life in Chicago and especially when it comes to taking the life of an innocent child. Our city is really getting out of control with these guns -- figuratively and literally.
