October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Jazmine Sullivan is making sure she helps get the word out about the disparities with breast cancer among women in the black community.
The R&B star has teamed up with Novartis for an initiative called "More Than Just Words" which addresses the disparities in breast cancer care. Jazmine's mother is a breast cancer survivor and says conversations are being had to figure out what can be done to make sure the increased risk and severity of cancer in black women is lessened.
