Lauryn Hill & Her Son YG Marley Drop Major Hint About New Music

Ms. Lauryn Hill and her son YG Marley are definitely up to something. The mother-son duo have hit the stage together on several occasion, but now it seems like they could be working on new music.

The veteran artist and her son were spotted by TMZ following their performance on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" on Tuesday May 14. During their brief interaction, the outlet asked YG about the possibility of L-Boogie's sophomore album. The "Survival" singer didn't deny the project's existence. He simply flashed a huge smile and replied, "New music is on the way."

Afterward, Lauryn herself walked out of the building. She took some photos with a few fans before she addressed TMZ's questions about her next LP. She also didn't reveal much, however, she did give a positive nod when she was asked if new music is coming.

It's been 25 years since the Fugees artist released her debut album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. The historic project debuted at No. 1 on the charts and holds smash hits like "Everything Is Everything," "Ex-Factor," "Doo Wop (That Thing)" and more. It became one of the most revered Hip-Hop/R&B albums of the 1990s and has gone on to inspired numerous artists over the past two decades.

Lauryn Hill spent the past year celebrating the success of her sole studio album at various sold-out concerts as part of "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 25th Anniversary Tour." She recruited her Fugee family Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel plus artist Koffee to join her in 17 cities around the world. Following the tour, Hill has been spending a lot of time performing with her son YG Marley, who's also achieved his own success with songs like "Survival" and "Praise Jah In The Moonlight."

So far, Lauryn Hill has not confirmed a release date for her new music. Watch them perform together on "The Tonight Show" below.
