Diddy's attorney sparked a response from Costco after he tried to explain why the music mogul had 1,000 bottles of baby oil in his home.
Federal agents reportedly discovered a trove of baby oil when they raided Sean "Diddy" Combs' homes in Los Angeles and Miami earlier this year. In his upcoming appearance in TMZ's The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment documentary, Combs' attorney Marc Agnifilo claimed that there are Costco stores near his client's homes and decided to buy the slippery substance in bulk. However, the wholesale retailer called BS on Agnifilo's explanation on Thursday, September 26.
A rep from Costco told TMZ that none of their U.S. stores carry baby oil in bulk. Costco does sell hair and cleansing gel for babies, but the store doesn't have anything that comes close to baby oil. The outlet even looked up the product at Costco's competitor Sam's Club, and they don't have baby oil either.
Agnifilo's appearance in the upcoming documentary has already made headlines ahead of the program's debut on Tubi tonight. Elsewhere in the doc, Agnifilo also revealed that his client plans to testify during the trial. Combs' attorney acknowledged the risk of Combs taking the witness stand. However, he believes Combs is the only one who can tell his story full of love, hurt and heartbreak.
The revelation is the latest update in Combs' criminal case. The Bad Boy founder is facing serious charges including sex trafficking, racketeering and transporting a prostitute over state lines. He was denied bond twice and will remain in jail until his trial. If convicted, Combs could face 15 years to life in prison.
