Diddy's indictment is an attempt by the federal government to "take down a successful Black man," according to his attorney.

During his appearance in TMZ's documentary Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment, Marc Agnifilo, the music mogul's attorney, suggested the federal government “started making their case against Diddy" “as a takedown of a successful Black man.”

Agnifilo further claimed that the feds “are historically no friend of the successful Black man" and are “scrutinizing” Diddy’s “business and his taxes,” despite him doing “everything right.”

The attorney said the federal agents have nothing else on Diddy, so as a "last vestige" they're attacking “the way he is having sex.”

Agnifilo's comments come after Diddy was arrested and charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The arrest followed a string of sexual and physical abuse lawsuits against Diddy.

Diddy's homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by federal authorities in March. The rapper is currently being held in custody at MDC Brooklyn after he was arrested and charged with Diddy pleaded not guilty to the charges and is maintaining his innocence.
