Bow Wow is catching heat for "insensitive" comments he made about Diddy's parties after they came to a screeching halt amid the mogul's sex trafficking case.

The veteran rap star recently sat down with Rosci Diaz for the latest episode of her new podcast More To The Story. During their conversation, the former hosts of BET's "106th & Park" touched on Sean "Diddy" Combs' legal issues. While reflecting on the situation, the rapper, born Shad Moss, referred to Combs as the "gatekeeper to the game." He also pointed out how much the atmosphere at events like BET Awards weekend "didn't feel right" without Diddy's parties.

“He’s like the gatekeeper to the game," Bow Wow said. "To the point where… BET Awards weekend? The past two, they just didn’t feel right ’cause there was no motion, there was no parties, there was nowhere to go.”

For what it's worth, the rapper-actor attempted to separate the industry parties from the infamous "freak-offs" that are mentioned in the recent indictment against Combs. However, the soundbites from their discussion didn't get any better after he appeared to mourn Comb's reign as "the guy that every young hustler looked up to."

“I said, ‘Jermaine, there’s no parties!’ You feel it, it’s like a hole," he continued while referencing a recent conversation with Jermaine Dupri. "He was everything Hip Hop! For that to die out, you just would have never thought … It’s sad and it’s messed up that we gotta witness this.”

Fans didn't appreciate Bow Wow's praise of the Bad Boy Records founder, especially since he was indicted on criminal offenses that allegedly happened at his infamous parties. Combs was arrested and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transporting prostitutes. As more witnesses and alleged victims come forward, federal prosecutors have indicated that a superseding indictment could come down ahead of his trial in May 2025.

“This just pissed me off… N***as worried about parties meanwhile women were getting abused and assaulted," one person wrote on X. “Bow Wow needs to STFU. This is some insensitive bs."

Combs is facing more claims from four men and two women who allege the artist sexually assaulted them. They're six of 120 people who plan to file more lawsuits against him. Combs's legal team recently denied the allegations and claimed "the truth will prevail in court."
