Actor Chris Robinson, best known for roles on the soap operas General Hospital and The Bold and the Beautiful, has died at the age of 86, his friend and colleague, MJ Allen, revealed in a post shared on the 'General Hospital Fans' Facebook page.
“Prolific Hollywood actor Chris Robinson has passed away at the age of 86,” Allen, a writer and director who worked with Robinson on the 2022 film Just for a Week.
“He peacefully passed in his sleep at his ranch near Sedona, Arizona at 12:30am on June 9, 2025,” he added.
Allen claimed that Robinson "had been in heart failure for some time" and confirmed that that "is his official cause of death."
Robinson played Jack Hamilton on The Bold and the Beautiful for 245 episodes from 1992 to 2005 and Dr. Rick Webber for 1,039 episodes of General Hospital from 1978 to 2013.
"General Hospital's enduring legacy owes a debt of gratitude to Chris Robinson and his portrayal of Dr. Rick Webber. Our hearts go out to his family and friends as they mourn their loss. May he rest in peace. #GH," a statement on General Hospital's official X account states.
Robinson was credited for more than 100 television and film roles during his career, which spanned eight decades from 1957 to 2022, which included Catch the Black Sunshine, Ace of Hearts, The Intruder and The Great Balloon Race.
