I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge the legendary Kenny Rogers. Although he died days ago, I would not allow all the news of coronavirus to make me miss at least a mention. Let me start by saying Lionel Richie is one of my favorite artists and he wrote the song "Lady" for Kenny Rogers which is my favorite Kenny Rogers song.
While working in radio in Las Vegas I was blessed to see many artists and celebrities perform on stage, and one particular performance I enjoyed was seeing both Lionel and Kenny perform "Lady" several years ago.
There was not a dry eye in the house and while they performed both men and women were mesmerized at the two legends, me included.
Kenny Rogers was one of those artists I would hear in the house growing up as a kid and one of the reasons I learned to appreciate country music although he was skilled in other genres as well. Rest in peace.
