Um ... so there is new canned water brand called "Chicagwa" -- a combination of the words Chicago and agua, for water. What exactly is the purpose of this please? The water is essentially tap water from our faucets and the water is coming from the mighty Lake MIchigan. But why are we promoting this water that we can get for free?
The cans are beautiful though and designed by local artists, the artwork is amazing. But really Chicago? We're really going to can up some tap water, package it all pretty and distribute it? I'm down with the plan if money was raised to go toward global warming issues that are affecting our environment, particularly Lake Michigan. And what about the lead pipes that feed water from the lake to thousands of residents, can that be resolved too?
