Madam Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is not playing any games when it comes to getting people paid, and that goes for aides at the Capitol.
The speaker said staff aides will make a minimum of $45-thousand dollars a year and she's also setting a vote on a bill to protect those who wish to unionize. For the first there will be a set on the floor on annual wages.
The purpose of the boost in the maximum salary is to improve working conditions on Capitol Hill and retain congressional staff.
