Already there are impressive numbers on voter turnout as it relates to the 2023 Chicago Mayoral election. More than 109-thousand early vote ballots have been cast in Chicago and more than 102-thousand vote-by-mail ballots have been cast, which surpasses the 2015 AND 2019 elections so that's good news.
We may not find out who's running the city for the next four years until April. Incumbent Mayor Lori Lightfoot has eight challengers and it's likely this contest will not be confirmed until a runoff happens. But tomorrow's election is not just about a new mayor, there is the aldermanic race as well.
The polls will be open beginning at 6 a.m. through 7 p.m.
