If you like to get in the kitchen and whip up a meal or some desserts using flour listen up! General Mills has issued a recall for some of its bags of Gold Medal flour. There is a possibility that salmonella is in several batches of the flour - specifically the two, five and 10-pound bags of bleached and unbleached all-purpose flour.
If you have bags with the date of March 27th or March 28th, 2024 you may want to throw them out. All other types of Gold Medal flour are not affected by the recall. According to General Mills salmonella was detected in a sample from a five-pound bag.
