What's Happening This Weekend (3/31)

It’s a pretty holy weekend with Easter and Passover... even the heathens are heading to church this weekend!  Go ahead and enjoy the best service of the year, plus your ham, lamb and whatever else you’ve got cooking later!

To keep the vibe of the holiday going, check out the live broadcast of the classic rock opera "Jesus Christ Superstar" starring John Legend as Jesus and rocker Alice Cooper as Judas on NBC5 at 7pm tomorrow night. See all the previews here.

If you’re looking for other types of activities…  Shemekia Copeland sings the blues at Space in Evanston tonight (Saturday) at 8pm.  Get tickets and info here.

80s yacht rock sensation Christopher Cross (“Sailing” and “Arthur’s Theme/Best That You Can Do”) plays a sold out show at City Winery tonight… but tickets are still available for his Sunday show.

In sports, the Bulls are playing an Easter Sunday game at home at United Center… they take on the Wizards at 2:30pm.  The game airs on NBC Sports Channel.

And looking ahead to the week, in further proof that spring really is here… The White Sox home opener is Thursday April 5th at 3:10pm.  The team faces the Detroit Tigers and the game will air on NBC Sports Channel.

Whatever you choose, have a great time and don’t let me ever hear you say you don’t have anything to do!
