Wakandacon is this weekend at the Hilton Chicago… it’s a celebration inspired by the movie Black Panther, but it’s about so much more… pop culture, gaming, tech, womanhood, politics and fabulous Blackness. Many notables will be there… actresses Erika Alexander from Living Single and Cynda Williams from Mo’ Betta Blues, plus thought leaders from the worlds of tech, gaming, filmmaking and more. Jazz fans, head to City Winery tomorrow night at 7 to check out Kevin Whalum… he’s the brother and collaborator of smooth jazz staple Kirk Whalum. And you may also remember him from his time performing in Chicago with his group Fast Forward. Tickets start at $15 and you can get them here.
