Anybody who knows me know that I love special numbers (repeating numbers, sequences, etc.) that pop up in everyday life... so today is a good day for me, being 8/8/18.
But I"m not the only one who thinks so. The number 8 is lucky around the world... Chinese culture associates the number 8 with wealth and fortune because it sounds similar to those words. And a day like today is even luckier because it's multiple 8s, which look like the characters for double happiness.
In the bible, 8 represents resurrection, regeneration and new beginnings. It's also a significant number in many religions, including Buddhism and Judaism. Also, it looks like the mathematical symbol for infinity.
