Services have been announced for Aretha Franklin… and the public will get their chance to pay their respects.
Her funeral will be in two weeks, on Friday, August 31st, at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit. This service will only be open to family and friends.
Before that, fans are welcome to say their goodbyes during two days of public viewings on Tuesday, August 28th and Wednesday, August 29th from 9am to 9pm each day at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit.
Aretha died on Thursday at the age of 76 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
The Queen of Soul’s final resting place will be next to her father, brother, sisters and nephew in Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit.
