Labor Day Protest on the Kennedy Expy near ORD

In an effort to bring awareness to the gun violence affecting our city's residents and effect changes, Reverend Gregory Livingston is leading an anti-violence protest today, aiming to shut down the main artery into O'Hare airport on a busy holiday travel day.

According to ABC7, protesters plan to gather at 11:30am at the Cumberland entrance ramp for a rally then proceed onto the Kennedy to the River Road entrance.

This will be the third demonstration on a major roadway in recent months as protesters shut down the Dan Ryan and Lake Shore Drive earlier this summer, in an effort to reduce violence to make our neighborhoods safer and get more economic investment and development on the South and West Sides.
