Sad news for live music fans in Chicago… the owner of one of the premiere Southside clubs to catch bands on stage back in the day has passed away.
Clarence Ludd, owner of High Chaparral and former Harlem Globetrotter, made his transition last week. His homegoing service is scheduled for this Tuesday evening 9/25 at 6pm at Doty Nash Funeral Home.
Mr. Ludd was inducted into the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame last year for the part he and his club played in bringing blues artists to Chicago audiences.
Peace and blessings to his family and all the music fans who remember him and his lounge fondly.
