If the skyline looks a little dim to you tonight, it’s not your imagination and it’s all for a good cause.
Tonight (Saturday 3/30) from 8:30-9:30pm is Earth Hour… an hour that encourages us all to turn off our lights for 60 minutes to bring awareness to environmental issues.
And if you’re out late throughout the spring, you’ll notice the tallest buildings downtown will be dark… that’s part of Lights Out Chicago, an effort to protect migrating birds who were getting pulled off their path to the south by our bright lights at night.
Let’s all try to do our part to protect Mother Earth and all her creatures… it doesn’t look like we’re getting another planet any time soon!
