Black People Magic: Bud Billiken Parade!

Bud Billiken Parade is the largest and longest running African-American parade in the country and all that Black People Magic is happening TODAY!

The parade celebrates “90 Years of Excellence” this year as it steps off from 39th and King Drive at 10am this morning, heading southbound into Washington Park where there’s a huge festival after all the marching.

Chicago native, comedian, actor and TV/film star Lil Rel Howry is the Grand Marshall… you’ll see him leading the parade along with all the best marching bands, dance groups, celebrities and politicians.

The parade celebrates back to school time and for many of us, it signals the time we should get down to fitting in the rest of our summer good times before it’s all gone… not to mention good homemade barbecue and treats all up and down King Drive!

Come on out and meet all your favorite V103 personalities -- Joe Soto, Bionce Foxx, Chris Michaels, Sundance & Crazy Howard McGee at the parade and if you can't make it, you can catch the broadcast live on ABC7 from 10am-12:30pm!

Happy Bud Billiken! Get out there and celebrate your magic! xo
