Black People Magic: Sister CEOs are Running Things!

This week was an amazing one for black women running stuff and we celebrate two of them in Black People Magic!

Ramona Hood made history as she was named the first black woman to become a CEO at a FedEx operating company. She now leads FedEx Custom Critical division, where she started back in 1991 as a receptionist who just wanted a job that had a regular schedule. She was a 19 year old single mother at the time, taking night classes. And now look at her!

And Dr. Erika H James was named the dean of the prestigious Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania. The award-winning scholar leaves her job running the business school at Atlanta’s Emory University to start her new big gig this summer.

Remember to always celebrate your magic! xo
