As you may have heard, I lost my father last month to COVID-19. But he had been diagnosed with dementia since 2016 and had been declining in the past year. I know firsthand what being a caregiver feels like and how much is involved with you're trying to care for a loved one, especially with brain conditions. And the majority of caregivers are women.
The Illinois Women Conquer ALZ has put this fundraiser together to raise awareness and funds to make that responsibility a little easier to do. Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton will be there to support the fundraiser and I hope you will stop by too.
