There’s a new movie coming out that tells a piece of Chicago Black history.
“Judas and the Black Messiah” tells the true story of the assassination of legendary Black Panther leader Fred Hampton. Warner Brothers Pictures just released the trailer yesterday and it is FIRE!
The film is produced by Ryan Coogler, who created “Black Panther”… Daniel Kaluuya, the star of “Get Out,” will play Fred Hampton with LaKeith Stanfield and Chicago’s own Lil Rel Howry rounding out the cast.
The film will be released in 2021… and Fred Hampton’s message is just as relevant now as it was when he was killed in 1969. Check out the trailer and repeat after him: “I am a revolutionary!”
