What’s Happening Inside & Out: Theater in the Parks & a Big Gospel Show

If you’ve been missing live theater performances, get ready for a treat… The Goodman Theatre is staging FREE shows in the city’s parks of “Fannie Lou Hamer: Speak On It!” telling the story of the famed civil rights and voting activist, starring the amazing E. Faye Butler. This afternoon’s show is at 3pm in Washington Park at the DuSable Museum. Register in advance!

Tomorrow at 3pm, get your praise on with the Census Gospel Sunday Concert starring Smokie Norful, Ricky Dillard, Vashawn Mitchell and more, all hosted by our own Sonya Blakley. You have to register for this free virtual event.

COVID cases are going down in Will & Kankakee counties, so Governor Pritzker gave the thumbs up yesterday for restaurants and bars there to reopen for indoor service… y’all keep it safe this time, ok?

Whatever you choose, have fun and don’t let me EVER hear you say you don’t have anything to do!
