We may not have been able to start our holiday with Chicago’s Thanksgiving Day parade, but we’ve got a few things to look forward to for our long weekend as we relax after dinner – between naps!
OF COURSE we’ve got football – it’s the Texans and Lions first at 11:30am then Washington and the Cowboys at 3:30pm.
For some virtual live music, check out Avery Sunshine as she performs tomorrow night at 7pm CT on Facebook Live from her page.
There’s a lot of new stuff rolling out on Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Max and all the streaming platforms this weekend… here are two I want to check out:
The new film from director Steve McQueen (who made “12 Years a Slave”) premieres on Amazon Prime. It’s called "Lover’s Rock" and they’re describing it as an ode to Black joy and celebration.
The other one is a documentary on Debbie Allen’s dance company’s production of a holiday classic… “Dance Dreams: Hot Chocolate Nutcracker” premieres on Netflix tomorrow. (check out the preview below!)
Whatever you choose, don’t let me EVER hear you say you don’t have anything to do… especially on Thanksgiving!
