With more snow expected tonight and frigid windchills into next week, the search continues for indoor entertainment… good thing it’s Superbowl weekend!
Superbowl LV between Tampa Bay and Kansas City kicks off tomorrow at 5:30 our time on CBS… H.E.R. performs “America the Beautiful” before Jazmine Sullivan sings the national anthem with country artist Eric Church. The Weeknd will star in thehalf-time show to a much smaller and safer in-person crowd of 25 thousand people in the almost 66 thousand seat stadium – which will include 7500 vaccinated frontline healthcare workers invited by the NFL to attend.
Before the game, keep the family busy with Hyde Park Art Center’s virtual Sunday Teen Takeover from 1-4pm. It’s an all-ages interactive program filled with activities and performances that’s free to attend!
And Chicago Black Restaurant Week kicks off tomorrow in partnership with Uber Eats and My Block, My Hood, My City… this year, it will run for two weeks, through February 21st, so you’ll have time to support close to 100 restaurants participating.
Whatever you choose, have fun and don’t let me EVER hear you say you don’t have anything to do!
