Things are getting better, but we’re still not quite done with coronavirus… or it’s not done with us. No matter what the hesitation is about taking the vaccine, it’s the one clear shot we’ve got at protecting ourselves, and our chances just got better.
If you’re still confused about the vaccine and how the process works… the Sun-Times has answers to all your questions about it here– from the cost (it’s FREE) to how to get an appointment and where to go.
One big change coming is happening March 10th, when the United Center parking lot will become a vaccination center able to deliver 6,000 shots a day, 7 days a week. The doses will be coming straight from the feds, not from the limited local supply. & With the way the pandemic has attacked our community, we’ve got to do it to keep our people healthy.
The next best way is to mask up… if you’re running low or can’t afford to buy more, there’s a free mask giveaway up in Rogers Park at noon Sunday at The Glenwood. The neighborhood chamber of commerce will be distributing 10 thousand cloth masks tomorrow.
Please be safe and let's get out of this health nightmare together... and alive.
