St. Patrick’s Day is usually a big celebration in Chicago, but this year’s celebration is signals things are coming back… the river will be dyed green today but you can only view it as you keep it moving. And even though the big parades aren’t back, there are smaller celebrations all over the city this weekend (see the list here), including a 5k walk/run in Lincoln Park this morning.
Good news for baseball fans: you will be able to go to games in person in Chicago! The city granted the Cubs & Sox permission to sell up to 20% capacity for games this season, beginning Opening Day on April 1st.
And the Garfield Park Conservatory on the West Side is open to visitors in person with their Spring Flower Show called Saturation. It’s still free to enter, but you do have to register in advance because of capacity limits.
