Oscar winning actress Halle Berry has been selected to be the ambassador of the 25th American Black Film Festival (ABFF) which will run virtually between November 3 to 28.
Halle will also screen her directorial debut at the festival! The movie is called “Bruised” and she also stars in it as Jackie Justice, a disgraced MMA fighter who finds redemption in the cage and the courage to face her demons. "Bruised" will be released November 24th on Netflix.
And yesterday, Amazon Studios announced they just closed a three-picture, first-look film deal with Academy Award-nominee and Emmy Award- winner Eddie Murphy. The comedian’s deal comes after his "Coming to America" sequel and reboot opened as the #1 streamed movie and the most successful opening weekend of any streaming movie this year. Eddie’s next big project we’ll see is "Beverly Hills Cop 4" and he’ll also star in a Kenya Barris-directed comedy for Netflix.
