One of the best ways to get in the mood for the holidays is to watch a Christmas movie!
What are your favorites? My all time go-to to get me in the mood is Miracle on 34th Street… because yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.
Did you know that movie is 74 years old? It was made in 1947 and it was one of Natalie Wood’s first starring roles at 8 years old. And the film was a big gift for Edmund Gwenn who won an Oscar for playing Kris Kringle.
I also love the original Scrooge movie, “A Christmas Carol”… ALL of the Christmas cartoons, but especially Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and A Charlie Brown Christmas, plus newer movies like The Best Man’s Holiday, Love Actually, The Holiday And This Christmas with Loretta Devine.
