The new year will bring a new way to support black business… the first ever Black Virtual Mall!
It’s the brainchild of Alquincia “Akanundrum” Selolwane who wanted to create a convenient, one-stop source for shopping and supporting black businesses. She got her inspiration after the pandemic wiped out 40% of Black-owned businesses.
The Black Virtual Mall includes online retail shops, a movie theater, and a food court. The movie theater offers free entertainment & informative content, the food court features restaurants to choose from in your city that you can activate delivery through Uber Eats or Grubhub.
Like all malls, tenants pay rent in the virtual mall… but all proceeds from products sold go directly to the entrepreneurs.
