This week, Hope Chicago gave thousands of Chicago students and their families at five CPS high schools more reason to hope for a better future with full-ride college scholarships!
The non-profit organization’s founders Pete Kadens and Ted Koenig along with their CEO, former Chicago Public School CEO Dr. Janice Jackson, have set their goal to invest $1 billion over the next decade to reduce economic & social inequity through these scholarships, which pay for ALL costs including tuition, room and board, books and fees plus a yearly stipend for other expenses to awardees.
And it’s not just the students! Graduating seniors at 5 CPS schools in priority neighborhoods – Morgan Park, Noble Prep, Farragut, Benito Juarez and Al Raby – PLUS one of their parents or guardians, get to attend one of 20 Illinois colleges, universities and trade schools that partner with Hope Chicago. That list includes all the state’s public colleges and universities, the City Colleges of Chicago and several private institutions and trade schools.
Let's celebrate with them and may everyone know the cheers, tears, joy and hope of a debt-free higher education and better life for their families!
