The Chicago City Council gave Mayor Lightfoot's Chicago Moves Program the green light this week!
She has earmarked $12 million to give out prepaid gas and transit cards to Chicago residents to give them a little relief from high gas prices. The city will issue up to 50,000 prepaid gas cards worth $150 and 100,000 prepaid transit cards of $50.
To get in on Chicago Moves, you have to be 18 and older, live in the city and meet the median income requirement… and have a current valid city sticker for the gas card.
Apply online at this link, by mail or in-person at any Chicago Public Library… there will be lotteries for the cards beginning the second week in May and will be held every week through September.
