Chicago financial whiz, Ariel Investments co-CEO Mellody Hobson made history this week, becoming the first Black woman to become an owner of an NFL team.
She joined the group that’s purchasing the Denver Broncos… after a mini practice last week, Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson said “What a tremendous accomplishment and what a gift to be able to do what she’s going to do… This is history.”
& Speaking of black history, DuSable Museum has a new name… it will now be known as The DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center.
They said the new name will “reaffirm the historic organization’s commitment to educating all people about Black history, culture and experience, and to recognize the global connections and cultures of Black people everywhere.” The Museum was built in 1961 and was our nation's first independent museum of Black History.
