Today is the sixth day of Kwanzaa and today’s principle is Kuumba, or creativity.
And it goes beyond the usual sense of creativity in artistic endeavors… this day is about restoration and moving us all forward, doing as much as we can in our own unique ways to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it.
This is also the day to celebrate Kwanzaa with a feast, called Karamu, where families and friends gather together over good food to share stories, traditions and other expressions of the holiday and the culture.
May you find joy in your creativity... Habari Gani!
