Celebrate greatness in action tonight with the 54th NAACP Image Awards! It’s on BET at 7 pm and Queen Latifah is your host.
Check out The American Writers Museum’s (located at 180 N. Michigan Ave) exhibit Dark Testament: A Century of Black Writers on Justice that honors the significant contributions of Black writers to American literature and history. The exhibit features original artwork plus augmented reality and other interactive elements. Kids 12 and under are free.
Today is the last Polar Adventure Days hosted by the Chicago Park District at Northerly Island… see Siberian husky sled demonstrations, learn about birds of prey, create art and enjoy storytelling with hot cocoa! It’s from noon until 3 pm and admission is free!
