The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is getting more magical!
Missy Elliott makes history as the first female hip-hop star inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class of 2023. She was inducted on her first try just months after becoming the first female rapper ever nominated.
And Chicago's own Chaka Khan and Don Cornelius will finally be inducted this year!
Chaka has been nominated several times… she’s being inducted as a solo artist, but will also be recognized for her work with her band Rufus. This year marks her 50th year in the music industry.
Don Cornelius, creator of Soul Train, who passed away in 2012, will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award, named after Rock Hall co-founder and longtime Atlantic Records chairman.
Other inductees this year include The Spinners, George Michael, and country legend Willie Nelson, who just turned 90.
& Remember to always celebrate your magic! xo
