Tupac Shakur finally has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
27 years after his death, friends, family and fans gathered on Wednesday for the ceremony to celebrate the hip hop icon and actor who sold over 75 million records worldwide during his 5-year career.
His sister Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur accepted on his behalf and said she felt honored to be there representing their family, sharing that Pac dreamed of having a star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame and saying, “I couldn’t be prouder of my brother to watch his star now shine even brighter.”
Treach and Danny Boy were among the hundreds present to celebrate and shared their memories of hanging out and working with their dear friend.
Tupac was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017 and would have turned 52 next Friday.
