Let's celebrate the amazing magic that is Simone Biles making a comeback on her own terms and winning it all… and it happened right here in the Chicago area!
Last weekend at the Core Hydration Classic (formerly the U.S. Classic) in Hoffman Estates, the newlywed gymnastics superstar returned to competition last weekend for the first time in 2 years after taking time off to prioritize her mental health.
And it clearly worked – the most decorated gymnast in U.S. history placed first all-around and on vault, floor routine and balance beam, as well as coming in third on the uneven bars.
She told ABC7 that the outpouring of love she got in person and online warmed her heart and surprised her when she was a little nervous to compete again. When asked why she came back, she said “this time I'm doing it for me.”
Remember to always celebrate your magic! xo
