Today at noon, the Chicago Labor Day Parade steps off in historic Pullman – a significant location for the American labor movement and especially for Black labor leaders. The parade route is along Cottage Grove from 108th to 113th Street and celebrates union pride, solidarity and community with Eddie Fest afterward, featuring live music, food and family-friendly activities.
Chicago Football Classic kicks off today at Soldier Field... it's Central State University vs Mississippi Valley State University bringing the HBCU experience to Chicago complete with Battle of the Bands and all the festivities! Gates open at 1pm and kick off is at 3pm.
