Chicago's World Music Festival started last night and runs through October 1st, featuring performances from artists around the globe at locations throughout the city.
It’s the 17th Annual Hyde Park Jazz Festival… this weekend features a collaboration with Nikki Giovanni and Javon Jackson and performances at stages and venues throughout Hyde Park. & It’s all free!
Beverly Arts Walk features over 200 artists and artisans plus music and family friendly events. It’s today at locations throughout Beverly and Morgan Park from noon-5pm.
Get into the Halloween mood at Jack's Pop-Up Pumpkin Patch, that just opened on Goose Island through November 5th, featuring thousands of pumpkins, corn maze, carnival games, fortune tellers and lots of great treats! All ages welcome, must be over 21 to drink.
On Monday (September 25th) at 6pm, Harold Washington Cultural Center hosts Legends, Leaders, and Trailblazers in Comedy, Art & Culture, featuring Cedric the Entertainer talking about his new book "Flipping Boxcars" and showcasing his wine collection, including a Napa red blend Zetta, which is named after his mother. WGCI's Leon Rogers hosts with honorees Damon Williams, Tony Sculfield, Bernie Mac’s daughter Je'niece McCullough, B Cole, Mary Lindsey and Just Nesh.
Keke Palmer: The Big Boss Tour comes to House of Blues on Tuesday (September 26th)... doors open at 6pm, showtime at 7pm.
