You know how we say “Chicago be everywhere”… it’s true! Right onto the set of the new VH1 game show, “Celebrity Squares!”
Comedian DC Young Fly hosts the update on the classic “Hollywood Squares” game show featuring the answers – and antics – of celebs and pop culture icons. The new show premiered this month and also features the talents of Chicago’s own Emmy Award-winning DJ Niéna Drake.
I got the chance to chat with her recently for the new season of my podcast and she gave some inside scoop on the show and some advice from how she got the gig. She said that the fun they have on the show is just a reflection of what's happening backstage. She added that one of her favorite guests this season is Babyface and that landing the gig all came down to building solid relationships, backed up by a good work ethic. Great advice!
