Community Connect is all about resources to create a new home!
CHA is helping families buy homes of their own! The city’s housing agency has a new program offering grants to take care of down payments and closing costs.
The program is open to anyone who is a first-time homebuyer, including people who live outside Chicago, as long as the home is purchased in within the city's boundaries. CHA has already awarded their first $20,000 grant to a new homeowner and they’re projected to help about 100 people to buy their first homes during this first year of the program.
