The holidays are in full swing, with just two weeks to Christmas and three weeks to the new year… here are a few things to get you in the mood!
Big laughs tonight with my boy Jo Koy at the Venue at Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, showtime 8pm…
The Music Box Theater’s beloved holiday season double feature returns with “It’s A Wonderful Life” and “White Christmas” playing back-to-back in their main auditorium. Each screening includes an appearance from Santa Claus and a Christmas carol sing-along accompanied by Music Box organist Dennis Scott with lyrics projected on the screen.
Cirque du Soleil’s “Twas the Night Before” is back at the Chicago Theater through December 28th…
Light of Christmas Drive Thru at Guaranteed Rate Field (home of White Sox) runs through January 3rd, featuring over 1 million sparkling lights, enchanting archways and luminous installations with classic holiday tunes.
For shoppers looking for unique gifts, the One of a Kind Show at The Mart runs through tomorrow, featuring over 500 artists and artisans with unique hand-crafted and specialty items.
Next week, Hip Hop Nutcracker opens at Cadillac Palace Theatre from Tuesday, December 12th to Sunday, December 17th. Celebrating 50 years in Hip Hop, the production reimagines Tchaikovsky’s 130-year-old ballet as a contemporary holiday dance spectacle with hip hop pioneer Kurtis “The Breaks” Blow, the first rapper to be signed by a major label in 1979, performing as the show’s MC, who will do a short set at beginning of each show.
And Friday, December 15th, it’s the Worship Live Holiday Tour, starring Fred Hammond & Donnie McClurkin at The Venue at Horseshoe Casino at 8pm.
Whatever you choose, have fun and don’t let me EVER hear you say you don’t have anything to do!
