Community Connect is highlighting two events this Tuesday (December 19th) for anyone who wants to give to those in need or for those who may need to receive some help this holiday season....
Grace Central Church and Senior Pastor Darius Brooks are hosting a drive-thru on Tuesday from 5 to 7pm at their Outreach location, 10216 Kitchener Street in Westchester. They're handing out 300 Christmas dinner boxes and giving away 600 toys for children 10 and under.
The boxes include a full holiday meal that will serve a family plus they’ll have additional food items available too. All boxes and toys will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. ID is required and there is a limit of one box per household and one toy per child with a maximum of two toys per car unless children are present. Check out all the information at the flyer below.
Also on Tuesday from 5 to 9pm, if you want to support children in need, former Bear Donnell Woolford and current starting lineman DeMarcus Walker are hosting their all-star holiday toy drive at Ridgemoor Country Club, 6601 W. Gunnison Avenue, Chicago.
They’re collecting unwrapped toys and gift cards on behalf of Grant-A-Wish to help families in need. Enjoy music, celebrity guests, silent auction, food, and more. Find out more information and get tickets here and on the flyer below.
