Did you see the Christmas Day Caravan yesterday?
The volunteers who make up Mothers Against Senseless Killing (MASK), packed up their cars and met up with Santa to deliver Christmas presents to almost 1,000 kids at 5 locations on the South and West Sides of Chicago… complete with holiday tunes and photos with Santa.
This was the 7th year for the event… MASK founder Tamara Manasseh started the caravan after seeing children in some of the most violent areas of the city and knowing they needed some holiday cheer. She established the organization in 2015 as a way to put eyes on the streets, interrupt violence and crime, and teach children to grow up as friends rather than enemies.
